A New York, New York-based private equity investor and executive, Ben Pike serves as a Principal at Ares Management. He joined the firm in 2015 through Ares acquisition of Energy Investors Funds, where he had previously served for six years. Ben Pike has closed billions of dollars worth of energy, renewables, and infrastructure financings during his tenor at these institutions. Before joining Energy Investors Funds, he held investment banking analyst positions at Merrill Lynch and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, conducting financial modeling for mergers and acquisitions, as well as debt and equity financings. He joined the latter in 2006 after earning a bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in finance from Georgetown University.
Ben Pike received the 2019 Business Insider Rising Star of Wall Street Award and was a finalist for the Platts Global Energy Rising Star Award in 2016. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors. He’s a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
